Cipresso at Hard Rock Hollywood

Cipresso is a restaurant with a contemporary twist on traditional Italian-American cuisine. The restaurant is located centrally in the new guitar-shaped Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, in Hollywood, Florida.

Working with The Johnson Studio, Grahame and his two-artist team created custom plaster walls overpainted with contemporary murals. The project involved careful planning and prep work to create the finished interior including creating custom vinyl stencils. The murals had several layers of paint work and were finished with clever aging techniques.

Warm tones were used in the plaster and the delicate murals complimented the restaurant’s interior design. In addition 26 mirrors were also hand-painted by Grahame with Italian words taken from the menu to decorate the restaurant exterior.

The overall finished design set the style and scene for the innovative restaurant's Italian food concept.
